To lose one senior executive is unlucky; to lose four is an
indication that something's up. So what are we to make of the news that 4
Twitter execs are stepping down, just 3 months after founder Jack Dorsey got
here returned to shop Twitter's soul? James O'Malley explains: "The
trouble Twitter faces is that it isn't developing speedy enough. fb, its rival
and pacemaker, counts its customers in terms of billions. Twitter is
languishing across the three hundred million mark – and the easy fact is that,
month on month, that parent isn't growing as fast as traders would love."
That makes Twitter the social media equivalent of Mad men to fb's X issue. Can
Twitter satisfy investors without scaring off the customers that made it what
it's miles these days?
